Out of Sight
Ten face-down cards are shown and shuffled. Then, five cards are dealt face-down onto the palm of a spectator, while the magician retains the remaining five cards. The spectator is instructed to select any card and without looking at it, place it on top of the magician's packet, still face down. Meanwhile, the magician also selects a card and, without looking at it, places it on top of the spectator's packet (In other words, they are exchanging unglimpsed cards). The magician asks the spectator to place the packet BEHIND HIS BACK and TURN OVER THE TOP CARD so that it will be face-up, and bury it among the rest of the face-down cards (pointing out as he explains, that this is the randomly selected card the magician chose). The magician also places his packet behind his own back, turns over the spectator's card and buries it in his packet. When the packets are brought from behind each person's back and spread out, the two face-up card MATCH!! Now for the "kicker". When the remaining eight cards are turned face-up, they are shown to be IDENTICAL, but do NOT match the originally selected pair of cards!!!
